Customer Service Specialist

Morgan Trading Company is seeking a talented CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE to join our team. If you have a passion for customer service, sales, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, this opportunity might be perfect for you!

Job Description:

As a Customer Service Representative at Morgan Trading Company, you will be responsible for assessing the value of items customers bring in for our customer buy-back program or sale, negotiating prices, and providing exceptional customer service. Your duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Evaluating the authenticity and value of items

  • Negotiating prices with customers

  • Maintaining accurate records of transactions

  • Providing excellent customer service and building strong relationships


Compensation and Benefits:

We value our employees and offer competitive compensation packages. The starting pay for this position is $14.00 per hour plus commission without a cap! Starting pay can go up depending on your experience.


In addition to competitive pay, we offer:

  • 10-hour shifts from 8:00 am to 6:30 pm with more days off

  • Full-time employees enjoy all major holidays off as well as their birthday (PAID)

Key Requirements:

1. Strong Customer Service Skills:

As the first point of contact for customers, excellent communication and interpersonal skills are crucial. An ideal candidate should be able to build rapport with clients, understand their needs, and provide exceptional service at all times.

2. Finance Understanding:

An understanding of basic financial principles is essential for success in this role. An ideal candidate should be comfortable handling cash transactions, assessing the value of items, and negotiating buy-back terms with clients.

3. Integrity and Trustworthiness:

Given the sensitive nature of certain business transactions, honesty and integrity are non-negotiable traits for a successful candidate. Upholding ethical standards and maintaining confidentiality are paramount in this role.

4. Attention to Detail:

The ideal candidate will deal with a wide range of items on a daily basis, each with its own unique value and characteristics. Attention to detail is crucial when evaluating items for loans or purchases to ensure accuracy in assessment.

5. Legal Compliance Knowledge:

Familiarity with federal and state laws and regulations governing Morgan Trading Company operations is essential.

6. Flexibility and Adaptability:

The buy, sell, and trade industry is dynamic and fast-paced, requiring individuals who can adapt quickly to changing market conditions and customer demands. Flexibility in work hours and willingness to learn new skills are key attributes of successful candidate.
